take a vacation on my massage table
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest with roots in Hawaii, Jenna Spirit embodies the true meaning of Aloha Spirit, with her generous nature and commitment to serve; she has dedicated her life to helping others. Jenna’s father, born and raised in Hawaii came into to her life at the age of nineteen. When she learned about his culture things began to make sense. From the time she was a young girl, she had always felt a pull to the Hawaiian culture not consciously knowing the islands were embedded in her DNA. An enlightened sense of peace came over her and she has since pursued more knowledge of the Hawaiian way of life.
A calling to help others is a common thread of all of Jenna’s careers. She holds a Bachelors in Family and Human Services from the University of Oregon and spent over a decade working to empower and coach people who are struggling or in crisis. During her time in social work, she received training in Non Violent Communication, Crisis Interventions and Building Resilience in Youth just to name a few.
Jenna decided to advance her skill set in helping others by studying hands on healing. She began her massage training in 2011, at Lane Community College, in Eugene Oregon. It was there she gained solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and pathology, in addition to a variety of massage modalities with a foundation in Swedish massage. Before leaving Oregon, Jenna received her Masters in Reiki from Heartfyre School of Reiki.
In 2016, Jenna moved to the beautiful island of Kauai. She completed the necessary hours to obtain her Hawaii State Massage License at the Golden Lotus Studio student clinic. She has furthered her knowledge by taking Mana Lomi 1 and Therapeutic Spa Workshops. She plans to continue her education in massage therapy by taking workshops that inspire. Jenna is currently insured as a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
In her free time, Jenna enjoys a good book at the beach, hiking the beautiful trails of Kauai, cooking and trying new recipes, and spending time with her family.
